New product release – BMW X5 4.6, 4.8is

 

Powerbrake has released its GT-Series matched front disc/pad upgrade kit for BMW’s range topping X5 models. The kit includes two front 356 x 36mm (14 x 1.41”) brake discs in Powerbrake’s new GT-Series design. The GT-Series discs are machined to class-leading tolerances from a proprietary cast-iron alloy that is designed to handle the extreme temperatures associated with high speed braking. The disc castings undergo multiple weathering (stress-relieving) processes during production, resulting in an extremely durable finished product. Other unique features include: Powerbrake’s MTR (Max Temperature Recording) system, dry coating, visual wear indicators, dynamic balancing and off-set reverse slot pattern.

 

 

Also included in the kit is a matched set of high-performance front brake pads, that were selected after extensive on-car testing to provide optimal brake performance on these large, powerful vehicles when used in conjunction with Powerbrake’s GT-Series discs. The discs and pads in the kit are direct replacement items and there are no modifications necessary for fitment.
